There are small ones here and there. Just like at falls lake. I've even caught 1 on the Eno river. Too get the goodones you need to go into the coastal rivers creeks after the first of the year.

I was wondering if anyone had, or does, reliably caught quality yellow perch in Jordan. There is one cove that we have picked up tiny perch, but no where else on the lake. Maybe they are controlled by the striper.(?) Would like to hear from anyone that targets them or understands their habits.

Red's right on the money. We get em down here in Town Creek in Februaury. They also thrive in our down east Carolina Bay lakes, but that's kind of an anomally. A coastal creek, just on the fresh side of the fresh/brackish line is where they're targeted down this way. Hockey86 is the man to talk to about YP. May be worth checking his posts from last January and February. A tin of good info in those posts. Nice pics, too.
In fact, come to think of it I caught some about a month ago and posted a report with pics as well.

Same as Redboat--from time to time catch small ones in different coves, but never any eating size.

Just what we need, another invasive species in Jordan Lake!
Did the NC Wildlife stock them?

Apologies for spelling and grammar on that last reply. It's not me... It's my phone.
