Verticle jigging a 1/8 jig/2" curly grub. Big uns all 9-11". I could not get my hand around them. Lots of fun on the ultralite.

Good for you . Good to hear that the bite is still good over there on the east coast .

Went out again Friday to do some more pan fishing. Found the school right away by the Condos. Started with the white grub on the 1/8 jig and did OK. Tried a white with red head tube and wow they liked that! Just dropping it down and leaving it still worked best. No biggies but caught about 15 gills from 8-9" and 3 11" Crappie. Then I lost the school and time to go. Pic does not show well the bright yellow breast on the gills.

More nice pictures and report. As you noted , color fades remarkably fast with cold water.

So I am catching these fun 8-10 inchers. Is there a chance of there being some real nice ones in the same area/schools? Or are the larger ones more loners.
