    Default Nickajack 11/25/2015

The date is 11/25/2015.......my bad. Only brought home 5 crappie today......but they are some good ones. Smallest fish I kept was 13 inches....the others were 14 inches.....nice slabs. I threw back four 10 inch fish....I know....should have kept them but this is Nickajack.....produces big crappie. I must admit I thought I would get more of the bigger fish but it was not to be. All fish caught on a Bison colored Trout Magnet using 2# test braid with 2# test Phantom fluorocarbon leader. Caught several 13 inch bass like in the pic.....fat fish and a lot of fun on 2# test line and Tict Ice Cube UL rod. Also caught a bunch of 7 inch chunky Gills. Rick McFerrin came buy in his boat today.....really nice guy.....he was having a tough day also....so I didn't feel so bad after that....LOL. The wind was not too bad but crappie were just not in a biting mood. So after about five hours of fishing headed home.....life is good!

    Regards

Nice catch. Obviously you are fishing from the bank. How deep were those fish? How deep of water?

Thanks...the fish were in 21 feet of water. Most came off the bottom holding tight to cover...in this case that cover is very large rock.
