I confirmed it with the team that had the 13 lbs plus...................
Rules were you could fish anywhere that water of crescent went................
So the winning team took advantage and went looking for Crappie.

Crescent Lake - Dead Lake - Haas Creek - Dunns Creek -St Johns River

I asure you their catch "smoked" the tournament.

Ought to be very interesting this comming week when the "Pro's Come to Visit"

Could be some tuff weigh in's - hard to get 10 lbs total - unless cold weather
    and migration steps up.

I have often wondered if the crappie "migrate" into Crescent. With other lakes on the St Johns River doing fairly well and no decent reports coming in from Crescent (until now) I guess it does make sense.

I kind of lean toward the theory that there is a resident population and a migratory population of crappie in the st johns lakes. Sometimes crappie have a yellow tint, while others have a more traditional green, black and white appearance. I wonder if this contrast shows that the yellow specks stayed in the lake year round, while the others moved to the deeper river.

You just need to stop urinating over the side of the boat before you pull em in ........

Classic Phantom! This is the kind of rhetoric missing so badly when he was gone.
