    Default The Weekend Bite 11/21-11/22

    11/21
Decided to try out some quality pre-front action, I would not be disappointed. Got out around 8am, fished till about 5. Lots of small fish, especially bass. Kept about a dozen 11+ inch fish, largest around 1lb 2oz. Hot baits were longlined moon jigs pink/silver, pink/white and also the chartruse curly tail jigs were good. Minnow tipped roadrunners also worked well, 8-12 fow, larger fish seemed to be out in the deeper range, dinks in shallow. Went through a school of bass, like a firedrill,we had one casualty, lost one rod, luckily it was the 10 dollar Walmart special.

    11/22
Figured I'd try the other end of the front, fished from 830-1130. Abit slower fishing, kept 5 fish, was abit more selective, still probably caught 25 bass and crappie. One was pretty nice about 1lb-6oz, same depths an baits as 11/21. Included pics of the setup and young slab-man. Tightlines

That's what we call custom rod holders. Team low budget. Usually set um and forget um, I sit in the back while long lining then run up to the front when I see the rods bend. Probably miss a couple fish because I'm not paying attention. Probably going to add some more holders to the front. When it's slow I'll put out 14 lines, combined front and back. With 2 adults could total near 20 rods probably with some slight modifications. That was the clermont chain of lakes. Ya my little man is a real trooper, he went out all day with me on Saturday and a half day on Sunday, who needs I-pilot when I've got him, he caught a couple good fish too. He gets the net, baits his own minnows and is great company.
