Unreal amount of snow we are getting. Do not believe the forecasts. They are nuts. As a matter a fact, I'm fishing with nuts. I'm using nuts at the end of my line to cast to the tops of the trees to shake the snow off so I don't get any more broken branches. But the stuff just keeps coming down. Looks like I'll be fishing for a while.

Oh, you all prolly wondering why there's a kitchen chair outside. That's inside! the roof caved in! lol j/k....that's an old chair I was using as a saw horse earlier when I was working on replacing my windows. I was gonna burn it next chance I got! Anyone up for coming here for a camp fire! Drive safe if you do.

Patience Slab. Don't get in a hurry in what may be your last dealings with that stuff. We and the fish will be here. Be careful and hurry back.

Slab, I feel your pain, I had a car, Lincoln MKC, to deliver to Schaumberg IL Sat. morning and there was already 4" of snow and still coming down hard. Didn't take me long to get in that MKZ and head south!! Saw several cars up against the center wall on the toll road and there was a 3 car and 1 semi spin out in the middle of the road right in front of me. Fortunately I managed to slide by and no damage, but I did have to clean my pants out when I got home.

I know all about that snow up north Ed. I was 28 miles from Cleveland in the snow belt for over 45 years as an adult and an additional 15 years as a child. I have seen, shoveled and driven in too many lake effect snows of more than 20" at a time. It is not fun! I have been in Alabama 11 years now and have not shoveled any snow yet. Praise God. Be safe and take care of yourself and hurry up and get to sunny Florida. I plan my trips back north in the summers only unless it is an emergency situation. Then I will fly or take Greyhound. Ohio winters in the snow belt are too much for me at my age now.

Been there, done that for enough years. I no longer have a desire for fishing on the hard water. The one thing I will miss about ice fishing is the use of an underwater camera on the still ice, and clear undisturbed waters, watching the fish go by, trying to entice the bite!
