Don't want to hijack your thread but does Crescent Lake have a public boat ramp, I used google earth and the ramp I found has a sign on street view that said residents only. Thanks

Yes, there are 2 public boat ramps in Crescent City and another on the south end of the lake at Dead Lake. Those are the only ones I know of but there may be others.

Just go out and find the line of boats and pull up the rear.

Try google maps for a decent satellite pic. Summit to Central Ave, head east, runs right into a public launch, very small, limited parking, next to the 3 Bananas eatery. The Sunrise park above is like 100 yards around the corner.

If your a real early bird, the public launch works fine for most of my launches. After light, parking jockeying should be anticipated in a small lot. Sunrise is a larger facility, parking and launch wise, but I'm unsure if it's open 24/7.
