Sounds like fun to me. Good report. I hope you got enough filets to heat up the grease!

Did a little fishn off Colonel's Creek bridge this morning. Started off slow........really slow. Was in the middle of a long cast when my other rod was about to be pulled up over the bridge girder. I threw the pole i was casting on the ground even though i had a brand new Lews reel on it and grabbed the stricken ultralight crappie rod in a nick of time. After a 15 min tug of war on 4 lb test with a threat of being spooled twice, a big striper pops up. I managed to beach it on some rocks below but couldn't make my way down the steep riprap. So I wanted for a boat to come by. No boats in 30 min with the linesider starting to float sideways some, I pulled the big boy out to deeper water and popped the line to let him go. Striper was about a good 8-9 lbs. Other than that bit of excitement, managed one diamond back perch, all the slimers i could care for(even caught two at a time on Raccoon's infamous hi-lo rig to the amusement of passing motorists) and a poor green carp that swallowed the hook.

Cool deal, thanks for the report. I got a striper last week, guess they're chewing.
Had to be a fun fight!! Enjoyed your report as always![]()
