Default Report: fishing the Grove today.

    Temp: Just right for fishing.
Skies: Cloudy and nice for fishing.
Water:Clear to slightly stained, good color for fishing.
Wind: Aweful, 15 to 20 had to hold on to my hat, made for difficult fishing.
Fish: Willing to bite a little if you could get your jig in the water and keep it out of the trees and brush
because of the wind. Also hard work on the trolling motor.

Glad you were able to hold still enough to catch those. Good job.

Good catch Mr. Gene. Wind has been blowing good the last few days. That'll stink the grease!

Danny I hear tell that the specks are running in Decade. I was hoping to go before the week end but we have some heavy weather to face first. I talked to two fishermen at the landing yesterday who each caught a limit Sunday but because of the strong winds yesterday couldn't catch a one.

I forgot to list the bait I caught them on. I was using Charlie Brewer's new Crappie Slider Minnow, blue with chartreuse tail. It looked like the one in the picture except it had a chartreuse tail. That minnow really has some great action at a very slow movement. I was pitching it on the new BnM SharpShooterSix rod that I won Saturday night. It a dock shooter but handled the casting job excellently. I also was able to shoot under some trees that were impossible to cast to.

By the way "D" AM I IN the BG contest?

Looks like I would call that supper! Thanks for the picture and report. I see you have both black and white crappie there, glad you aren't discriminating.
