Default More Darbonne pictures and REPORT

Well had a great time as usual at the gathering. Fishing was tough but once again we had enough to feed the group. God was good to us and multiplied our fish from Friday to catch enough to eat on Saturday. Here are the pictures I have.
Devin and Danny peeling shrimp, thanks guys this really helped me out a lot!

Ok, I want to thank Skip for the grey ghost jig and Pastor for the red jig but I forgot to specify that I wanted jigs that caught BIG fish! lol I caught 8 to 10 of these little 3 to 4 inch fish on Friday.

Doc and RM George getting the sign up

I believe this was Doc's crew's catch for one of the days.

Doc's dad Winfred and I believe John's uncle working the grill Thursday night. Thanks guys!

Doc Waldo aka Wally Marshall look alike and his crew

Pawpaw gene, Pastor and their fishing partner (sorry couldn't remember his name)

King Krappie (Josh) won big fish Friday with a 1.74 lb fish!

And this guy won Saturday night with a 1.11 lb fish

A couple of nice ones we caught Saturday

    Box shot of Saturday's catch

Steve (BamaFan), you were surely missed but as a last minute thought, I grabbed your hush puppie recipe and brought the stuff up there to make them. I didn't have time to make them but Mrs. Bonnie was looking for some hush puppies for her and Joey and Kevin to make so I told here I had the stuff and the recipe and would be thrilled if she would make them. As you can see they went over great as always!

    An almost sunset picture

This is what this site has always been about, family, fun and fishing. This is Sack531's kids! Great to see from very young to well....older members at our gatherings.

Great pictures Dwayne, loved them. Enjoy looking at all the gathering pictures. Why won't somebody post a picture of the sliced brisket?

    Half way through the Process

About to slice it up. I usually cook them Fat Side Up but decided to cook this one Fat Side Down. There was no difference in the final product. Might have to cook 2 for next year.

    And maybe some Ribs

I don't know why I didn't take a pic of it sliced. I will the next time. Just imagine a 3/8 of an inch Pink Smoke Ring around a very succulent piece of meat. LOL!!!

Tracker, if you can figure out how to retrieve it, there is a picture of that succulent, delicious, tender, juicy, smoked brisket etched into my brain. It is a picture I will never forget. I just wish I could share it with you.

One correction. Shadow's big fish saturday was actually not 1.11 lbs, it was 1 lb 11 oz. It was a nice fish. I saw him weigh it and he only put his left pinkie on the scale. By the way, of the 4 that I caught, the 2 biggest may have weighed that much.

Thanks for the correction Danny. Now you know there are some on here that are going to believe that story about my left pinky! Good thing TreeFrog was there to see it too! lol
