Default Crane Creek Park in Union County report

Went to Crane Creek Park in Union County Thursday the wind was so bad I called it a day after a couple hours. WT 60 stained and high. They had to close the lake during all the rain because the water was over the top of the docks. Only caught 2 crappie but they were big ones 16’’ and 17 ‘’ both on minnows. Now till February you can get in and fish for free.

Thanks for the report, I had planned to pick up leaves on Thursday but the wind made that impossible

they rent Jon boats there.the only ones I've caught from shore was many years ago, south of the boat landing at the'gazeebo',,the lake is its narrowest place.you can cast out into the creek channel deep water from shore ,just outside the no wake zone

Thanks for the report. Didn't know you could fish for free in the winter. May have to give it a try next couple of weeks. A 16" or 17" would be fine by me.

I fish all year free, I'm a Vet, senior, and live in Union County.
The fishing is free now all year, they charge for the boat
