    Default So the white perch are bad, anywhere good to catch them from shore?

    Lake hickory is full of them. It is a pretty good drive from Charlotte, but if you are every up that way, it has tons. The lake also drops off quickly in most places so much that you can be 30 foot from bank and be sitting in 60 foot of water. Most places you can easily cast to 30+ foot of water to get to them.

    Lake Wylie at Allison Creek Ramp. They have a nice public pier there. Lot of fish caught from it.
