    Default Shenango lake crappies

Had a good day today. Couple 14", few 13's, and the rest were 12 or just shy of it. Hang glided jigs over brush in 15 ft.

Hope to be fishing until at least the first of December up here. Don't want to put my boat away too soon like I did last season. We had good weather all the way up til a few days before Christmas.

I think they should limit the number of days you are allowed to fish the same lake in a year's time. Also, there should be a limit of 2 crappie per day for anyone over 65. That way it would save a few fish for guys like me (the young generation).

Put your time in the work place and you can fish as much as I do. I'm not 65 yet but God willing I hope to get there one day. Hey Rev, stop hatin on a brotha.

No hatin', but I guess I wouldn't do to well as one of those guys who guess your age at the carnivals and such. I had you pegged as at least 80. I always thought I was much, much younger than you. I didn't make it to Shenango at all this year. Wilhelm neither. Only fished my local lake about 4 times. Just got too busy this year. Good luck Smitty and hope the nice weather holds out a little longer.

Fished Wednesday with my buddy Jim from Ohio. we had a pretty good day. I caught some of everything in the lake. Only thing I didn't catch was walleye and the other two toothy critters. caught close to sixty combined but only sent him home with fifteen good crappies. fished seven different spots. Some deep, some shallow, and some mid-depth. Got fish in them all. Jim was throwing a green jig as I was tightlineing over brush. I was using a jig with nibble. Good time with a good friend. Headed to Pymy in the morning if this wind dies down some.

Still hammering the crappies here on Shenango lake. Me and a buddy put 52 in the box on Saturday morning. The lake is down about seven feet but the two launches are still good to go. Don't have to tell you to be careful running the lake, do I? The fish are very aggressive right now.
