So it's foggy as all get out this AM......ok gotta be careful out there and gettn there. Now I've almost run through two stop signs on the way to ramp but I made it. I'm backed down to the waters edge, I've took off one backstrap off my boat when I move to the motor toter and realize my battery is dead. No problems , I have a jump ox in the boat. I stop what I'm doing , dig out the jump box and connect it. I raise the motor undo the motor toter and jump in the boat. My partner backs me in the water but what did I forget???? I crank the motor, through it in reverse and it spins side ways across trailer. Awe heck lee gets in such a focused hurry he does not take off other strap. So he gets to reach under the water to bottom of trailer to release the strap. Words of wisdom..... Take your time and double check everything!!!!

Have you ever forgot to put your TM pedal back in the boat from where you had taken it out to clean and reorganize the boat and realize it after the launch. You only do that once. Hopefully.
We have all done stuff like that but some will not admit they have.

Let the son be in charge of the back of the boat before launching a coupe of weeks back because he needs to become a responsible young man. Did everything perfect but put in the plug. Parked the truck and idled out to the take off where the boat stood straight up in the air on throttle contact. Figured out pretty quick what was happening. His only comments were that he thought the bubbling/gurgling sound coming from the back of the boat was from trailer noise. Good lesson learned. Couldn't get mad because Ol' Dad had done the same thing in the past.
