Default Lake Norman REPORT 11-9 bite is on!!

First trip of the season!! took the day off for a Doc apt in mooresville this morning and without delay went fishing! I dont get to pick and choose my days anymore, so i am going to go when the opportunity allows. Took about 45minutes putting my boat in striper mode, and i was underway

Man it was raining hard. My friend bailed on me because he was afraid of a little rain. As always i wanted to striper fish, but with the weather, thought id start jigging. Went to my #1 go to spot that i call "food lion"! If i ever want a mess of crappie on Norman, this is my 1 stop shop. Cast after cast after cast they were coming in. I kid you not, in about 40 minutes, i kept my 20, and threw back another 20. Not a single fish kept under 10 inches.

the rain eased some, so i started to peek around. looked in a few creeks and didnt see anything that excited me. after 30 minutes of poking around and getting sand blasted in my face from the rain, i decided to go to where i "usually" catch them this time of year. As i arrived to likely spot, i saw a couple of fish boiling on top, and thats all i needed to see. in 45 minutes, i landed 6 hybrids, and 1 nice striper. First time ever I had a striper jump like a largemouth on its first run. All fish caught on trolled A-rigs up top, and on the down rigger. Bite was so steady i was only able to troll 4 rods.

On the water at 10:45am, trailered up and on the road at exactly 130pm. It doesnt get any better than that!! Didnt see a boat out there the whole time.

Cant catch them sitting at home!

Full day 1/2 day or evening Striper/Crappie fishing trips available at a very affordable price for
Lake Norman, Badin, Wateree, High Rock.
Individual maker of the heavy duty "hybrid" A-rig Trolls just like an umbrella rig, Guaranteed to put fish in the boat

Nice catch, and congrats on braving the rain, and reaping the rewards, especially being the only boat on the lake! NICE!
