Now the eternal question from a newbie. 14ft or 16ft. I was stuck on getting 12ft. But recently fished with 16 and have been convinced of them. Any expert opinions before i order?

Boat size dictates this for me, if you are fishing out of a rig less than 20 foot long the 16s are a pain and seldom make a difference, 14s are what we fish out of a 19.5 long Bass Cat and it works well, 12s have caught tons of fish over the years.

Thanks for your input guys, I think I'm going with 14s. This is my initial investment in crappie. I'm a newbie and only been in other folks boats. I got a skeeter zx200. So it seems like 14 is a happy medium.
