Lightbulb Indian Creek Halloweekend fishing report

I have been fishing Indian Creek every Fall for the last 4 or so years. This was probably the worst ever. Anyway, I was trying to catch a big fish for the Garland Halloween contest, so I fished fri/sat/sun afternoons. Three fish were caught each trip.

Friday, I fished alone with nothing but Garland's new Itty Bit Slab Slay'r in electric chicken on their new Overbite Sickle hood heads. These are my new favorite jig heads BTW. I took pics of these two for the contest,

Saturday was much the same but in the rain the whole time and all i caught were smalls.

Sunday, I had a partner, and he caught a 14.5 I would have loved to have caught for the contest. He was fishing the Garland baby Shiner in Cajun Cricket. I caught one small fish.

While we were fishing an extended point, the water exploded. I only planned to
fish the baits sent to me for the contest, so I had to dig around my tackle to find something I could throw on 4lb test. Tied on a small Rapala and caught this hybrid?

And with that, my planned fishing for 2015 comes to an end. I have some deer hunting to do and just do not have a good Winter pattern to rely one. See you guys this Spring!

It's been an interesting season too say the least and I wish you a great hunting season. Good luck.
