Picking which are the best eating fish from perch, walleyes, or bluegills would be a toss-up for me. IMO finding a lake that provides a real good chance of catching enough perch for a fish fry is getting harder and harder. Back in the day, Saginaw Bay was the "go to" place to catch plenty of perch in a few hours of fishing. Not anymore. Over-population of walleyes (along with other factors) has depleted perch numbers to seriously low numbers. Inland lakes that have a sustainable number of keeper size perch are few and far between. This isn't the first time Larry has posted about his perch catches on Van Ettan, so now I've got it on my bucket list. Thanks for the post Larry!

Hey Crappietale they dropped the limit on the Bay from 50 to 25. You probably knew that already. And also Walleys went from 15' to 13' and I think 8 is the limit instead of 5.
