    Default Slow month

    October fell apart - supposed to be at lake Havasu. Partner ran into some problems with a rental of his. I had a bunch of medical stuff to deal with and had a "fishing intervention". My sisters and LF decided that I needed to get rid of all my saltwater gear and bow hunting stuff. Can't use it - so got rid of most it.

    Was going fishing on Wednesday - slammed the swing gate on my fingers while loading up. Snuck out yesterday to get blown off the lake. Hadn't been on the water for 3 weeks - manage to find one fish. But I did get to try out 4 new import rods. Water temp is down to 72F.

    The one was a nice one and at least you got to try your rods. Any day on the water is a good day.

    Doggone! Sounds like you were on a harmful streak. Hopefully that is behind you now. Sure a handsome brute you brought to hand. I'd take that as a single any day .
    So how do you like those partial rod handles? That seems to be quite the thing these days. I can see where it would take less of the hard to acquire quality cork.

    Which rods you get? One looks like a Major Craft.

    sometimes it seems like everything is against a man just trying to go fishin'.

    remember, when things look bad and it looks like you're not gonna make it, then you gotta get mean. I mean plumb, mad-dog mean. 'Cause if you lose your head and you give up then you neither live nor win. That's just the way it is.

    yeap..its a movie quote

    Thnx guys
    og - Not real fond of the split grips but sometimes you have to go with the flow...
    Ah - this batch was;
    Sakura, Shinjin Neo - 7' (2-6lb) from Poland used for street & rock fishing. Plan on using this rod for Lake Havasu, not light enough for what I like.
    Palms, Elua Pinweel - 7'6" (1-5lb) from Japan. Little large in the butt, nice med light action.
    Major Craft, Corkish - 6'6" (2-4lb) - excellent rod
    Major Craft, KG Lights - 7' (1-5lb) - excellent Aji rod

    Always enjoy a CE movie dg....

    Got a pretty good excel spread sheet if, don't think I could post it...
