My youngest son Matt and I traveled to Montana on 10/21 and arrived back in Atlanta yesterday evening. We flew into Bozeman and rented a truck and a drift boat and then headed for the Madison River. We fished five days on the Madison River and stayed at the West Fork cabins. We also fished one day on the Missouri River. Our average day of fishing involved a 17 mile float down the Madison River from Lyons Bridge to McAtee bridge. That is a lot of water to cover. The Madison River is our favorite as the scenery, wild game sightings and fishing is great. Matt caught his biggest trout ever on the Madison a 22 inch brown. Two days later I caught my biggest trout ever a 21.5 inch rainbow. The weather was pleasant and unusually warm for this time of year. The first two pictures are of Matt holding his big brown and me with the big rainbow. We had a great trip. I sent a text to Kowboy this morning advising him I was back in town. He said we needed to get out the long lines and ditch the minnows. No rest for the weary. I hope you all do not mind looking at some different kinds of fish. Thanks for viewing.
