    Caught a 17" wiper south of the sailboat slips trolling a pink jig w spinner/silver shimmy shad - hooked a bigger wiper east around the point 25 FOW jigging for crappie 4' 8" rod 8 lb test line and the drag was screaming! got tree tangled gave it some slack and came loose and fought some more then the wiper surfaced and the jig came out and bye bye wiper. Caught several white perch "RIP". Seen lotsa wipers/white bass?hittin shad on top in the trees and in the sailboat cove ramp area. Caught/released a bunch of channel cats 1 lb and under. Caught some dinky crappie and gills jigging at the dock. I talked to boaters coming in, good results and hope to be reading better reports than mine!

    Friday night we had 3 over 27 inches. Sat was a great day for catching. Had some very nice eyes. Sunday things went south. We only caught two keepers jigging but I talked to several others and they weren't doing very well. Here are some pictures of our weekend.

    Very nice fish - the middle picture, the tail looks huge on that eye!

    It was a huge eye... also the top side of it was cut.
