Looks like you left a little room for storage under the porch too. Close it in and put a door on it. Looks good from where I'm sittin'.

I agree with RRR, put some of the stone looking panels Like the rest of the home to really bring it out.

Yeah I intend to. Thinking about a raised flower bed in the front with the stone skirting behind it. And I finally got to watch the rain and no leaks

I didn't get to watch any here as it fell overnight, 2 1/2". Right now we are at the very edge of a large area of rain that is about to cover us according to the radar. We need a bunch but I hope is nice and easy.

Just checked the gauge and it's full at 5" plus the street in front of the house is flooded. It came up around 8 more inches then receded. I just checked the radar and we are on the back edge of the rain but it's still raining hard. Hope it let's up soon.

Well it looks like my prayers for rain have been answered. The bayou is up over nine inches from when I wrote the first post. It is high enough now I can put my boat in at the camp. Now its just a matter of finding the time to go. I am sure ready to try a gray ghost.

That's good news Charlie, glad to hear it. Did the draw down help move some salvinia out.

Actually Gene they did not do a draw down. We were low due to lack of rain. However the cold winter last year and diligent spraying kept the salvinia pretty much under control. Plus the carp had pretty much got the hydrilia. I am happy with the way the water looks.
