    Default West and Big Sandy

Wife and I are going next week Friday and Saturday to fish in the big Sandy area, haven't seen much about the bite and would just like an idea where to start. We fished down there towards the end of the spawn this spring and had a great time. We like to long line and spider rig, any help will be greatly appreciated! PM me if you don't want on public site.

    Thanks in advance,

    Ray and Audrey

Was out for 4 hours this morning and caught a lot of small ones. I did catch 1 red ear that measured 10 3/4" long and nearly 2" thick.

Yep. We did managed supper. Had one 14 incher. That was almost supper. Cow pasture stick fish.

I fished farther south in Birdsong yesterday with the same kind of luck. Tried spider rigging but the fish seemed very tight to cover. Only one nice keeper but several very short fish. Good eating size cats added some excitement though. Did not try out on the main river.

Thanks for the reports, from the above it looks like we will catch fish and maybe some good numbers but most will be short, which I'd rather catch 20 shorts to one keeper as long as I'm catching enough to keep it from getting boring.

    Thanks for the feed back!
