Where is this Black Bayou (Black Lake) located. I have never seen any water that deep in the Black Lake that I fish near Campti, but there is also a lot of the lake I have not explored yet either. Congratulations on your catch. It looks like you have some hogs in there. And by the way, welcome to the forum. We look forward to your future posts. You will make all of us better fishermen and fisherwomen.

It is at the far south end of the lake. I put in at Dee's camp. Boat ramp is about 3 miles from Clarence. When the water is at normal levels, you can drive a boat from the bayou to the main lake. It has places in it that are 20+ feet deep.

Late December and early January they are stacked in there and you can catch the limit if they are biting.

Nice catch and nice fish josh. 👍👍👍 Those big whites look like some golden shiner contenders, did you weigh them?

No I didn't weigh them. We catch a lot that size. Next time I go, if I catch some more in this size range I'll weigh them and let yall know.

Yea, I know where you are at now. Thanks for clarifying that for me. I have put in at Dee's before. Have they made any improvements on the ramp? I may have to try it down that way soon.

Unfortunately the ramp is still in pretty bad shape but it's a great place to fish if you can get in.
