    Default Houston River 10/16

Hello everyone ! I've been on here a while reading (first post) and with the information I've found I finally managed to find some white perch on the river nearest me ! They weren't very big and I didn't get many but I still got some fillets out of the deal !!

Water was in the 80's, wind was calm until around 10, they wouldn't touch shiners ended up catching everything on ZOOM Tiny flukes (5 white perch, 1 goggle eye, and 8 bass)

The information on this forum is great ! And a thank you to Saute86 for the pointers !

Welcome to the site. Looks like you did pretty good. That is a good mess and more than I need for a meal. With a mixed bag like you caught, I'd be fishing that spot more and more to get to know it better. The better you know it the better you will get at catching fish. To bad you cut you head out of the picture as we like to see what our members look like. Good luck for you future fishing.

Congratulations on the catch and on your first post. Welcome to the forum. I live too far north to be of any help for you, but the Louisiana forum is full of good people who share their knowledge of crappie fishing.
