    Default Hickory fun

Went this evening for a few hours looking for crappie. Seemed like everything was pushed deep. Caught a couple perch and hooked this big girl on a 14' Southern Crappie rod. Small bait, big fish lol

I will tell you one thing - it is quite the trick to get a fish like this in the boat by yourself with no net, 6lb line and a #6 hook on 14' rod!!

Finally found a couple crappie in rink dam area but that's about it.

Slow but fun time to be in the water!!

Heck blugras you did better on the striper fishing for crappie than I did trolling for them Saturday. lol. We did finally get several hits, but I had my neighbor that was a little slow getting to the rods and we missed them. Had the hits near the marina at the dam out in the main lake. Got to get you to take me and show me how to do a little live bait fishing.
