    Paw paw Gene,
    I am from Thibodaux and new to the forum. I used to fish Sacolait a bunch in the basin near Henderson but haven't been since moving to Thibodaux 25 years ago! I would love to get some pointers on fishing around Thibodaux / Houma area. Ben to bayou Black with limited success. I was curious about where to go catch Sacolait around here. there must be Sacolait in the Orange Grove, Lake Verrett, Lake Long areas. . . . Curious and anxious to catch some in this area. I am nearing retirement from Entergy's Waterford III nuclear plant.

    Hi Tbone, glad to have you join us. I used to work and live in Thibodaux many years ago. There are some fish to be caught in all the places you mentioned. Winter is a usually slow in the Houma area as the north winds blow the water out it also get real muddy in most places, but there are a few canals that can be fished. I don't fish them much during the winter but look to kick it off again around the end of January most years, depending on the weather. I wouldn't mind hooking up with you face to face to talk about the different places I fish, your place or mine. Maybe we could also do a trip together.
