I remember Bozo, watched him at lunch time! D10 it was called the Grand Prize Game.
My guess is that is where Ronald McD came from.
I remember a few of us cousins and friends all met at and left from my grandma's house in Bearden and we went in my uncle's van. There was probably 7 or 8 kids in our group. We went to a pizza place, then went to the studio. It was also raining outside. I can't really remember much about being there except that they played some songs (I think by Frankie Valli, maybe Sherry Baby) and told us all to do what Bozo did. I remember waving with one hand for a while, then with both hands for a while, then seems like we nodded our heads from side to side for a while. I do distinctively remember they selected a girl right in front of me to play the game "kick the balloon in the barrel." She almost got it in there too, but she lost.
We all got to meet Bozo and have a picture made. He asked me if I walked to school or carried my lunch. I remember that as well. Seems like we may have all gotten some ice cream from Coleman Dairy. As we, as a group, were leaving the studio, there was another large group of kids getting ready to come in right after us. I think it was all filmed on a Saturday, but I 'm not sure about that. I was only 7 years old.
I contacted the TV station and unfortunately ALL tapes of the Bozo Show were destroyed. GTT

I know the Chicago WGN station Bozo Show game was called the Grand Prize Game, but that was a different Bozo. That one had a helper clown, I forget his name. The Little Rock, Arkansas, KATV channel 7 Bozo Show that I went to was different from the Chicago show. The man, Gary Weir, is still around and calls horse races I think at Oaklawn in Hot Springs........without the red nose and hair.. GTT
Rootie-Kazootie, Wowie kazow... Ole Bozo is my best pal!! Lol... I watched it every day.
