not trying to get into a argument over this with you , but anyone that knows how to hunt deer would know that the odds are way more in their favor more then the deer's and it would be like shooting them in a cage if they was allow to hunt certain areas !!! IMO

We not arguing we discussin...............So possibly taking advantage of a natural occurance is bad, hunting over bait is somehow fair chase? every one of the affected counties allow baiting..

My point is the idea of the ban was mostly driven by those who do not hunt and would completely ban hunting all together given the chance....

Have we not learned from the anti gun crowd if you give them a inch they will take it a mile?

Well just got back from breakfast and talking to my wife she said the same thing. She had also heard about staying off of Murray, maybe right around the dam. She said they had said that this is not a time for pleasure riding. Oh well so much for Sundays fishing trip.

I used to fish with an old boy at Santee by the name of Don Drose. He lives in Manning and after Hugo he was out of power for 31 days. He said he would ride around and in every field and pasture that was high ground, there would be a hundred deer just standing around day and night. The swamps had ten feet of water in them. The deer were just trying not to drown. I don't hunt much anymore, but it is probably a good idea to give it a few days for the water to go down because there is some idiot out there, and you know there is, that would try to fill up a dump truck with deer.

Amen Thumper1 that was why the ban was put in place. Not because the anti-hunters wanted it. SC has the longest season and I don't think anybody will miss 4 days of hunting. With no limit a lot of hunters would kill as many as possible just to brag about it. I for one am glad the did it
