Back in the 80's the govt actually paid us to leave out 3% of the land. Nuts.. Those subsidy payments go to the corn acres in the Midwest now. No such thing as a southern payment unless you grow rice down here. Not much corn base acres in the south. All of ours is cotton base and they are no longer a program crop. As far as we are concerned they need to get rid of all of it and find a stable insurance program that can't be scammed by the unscrupulous. We have multi state farmers that move yields all over the U.S. to make it pay. Makes no sense to those who do it right. One can say "it's just business" but some of us think that's not going to help you on judgement day. Pay now or pay forever.

Hahaha! My wife was a paramedic for 5 years before nursing school. She has some full moon stories that will make you crack a rib laughing.

I know there is a big difference in the country with soil types and weather but my neighbors farm maybe work a total of 3 months a year farming 1000 acres and spend 2 months vacationing in Florida every year. They have a big cabin cruiser where they spend most of the summer on the lake. I'm not jealous about it but they have it pretty good. What does make me upset is that they laugh and joke about how hard they got it. They need to walk in some of you guys shoes sometime.

Thanks. New to me or usually gone when I get to the woods. Legs were so different in length it looked strange. Biggest spider I've ever seen around hereName: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1444697646.928317.jpg
