Lots of water fell for sure, I hope everyone will be happy with what we got. I know we will have to settle for it up here. Just have to wait and see what Duke does about the ramps and how much water they run out from the dam. I hope they will keep full pond level!

I have emptied gauge twice after being full, we currently have totaled 11.25 inches that was measured. Probably have received more than that as gauge was over flowing the first time a checked. At least two large pond/lakes have breached their dams causing massive flooding and damage in and around Columbia. I-20 and I 26 both are closed due to river flooding. This is far worse than any hurricane or tropical storm that I have ever witnessed as far as rain totals go.

You spoke too soon, it is raining again. My niece lives close to the Saluda River in West Cola. She has to evacuate. If she can find a was across the creeks she may come stay with us. My gauge filled up and overflowed during the night so 5" plus what ever ran over by this morning. Emptied it at 9 am and 1.5" back in it and it is raining again.

Raining here also. We did have two hours of in and out sun before the next wave hit. My daughter, son in law, and the 5 and 3 yr. old boys are here. They live in Irmo in Coldstream and have been without power since 6 a.m. Mimi has cooked a big supper and we are about to chow down. I'll run them home tomorrow.
