    Default Black Lake 10-01-15

Well I went to the Honey Hole in West Monroe yesterday and picked up three rod tips to replace ones I had broken. Picked up a spare prop to replace the one I had to put on my TM that I had lost Tuesday.
Went back down to my Honey Hole on Black Lake and finished the Tuesday trip that I lost my TM prop on. Picked up 22 on GG, 10 fow, 5-7 fd around trees. Caught one on concrete at bridge. They shut off at 8:30, only caught one between 8:30 and 9 am. Here is a pic.

ok, thanks, is that a jig, spinner or what. i usually use live shinners, but just the last 3 weeks or so been tring jigs and spinners, caught one on a red head w/ white skirt jig last weekend, and 2 on a lime green grub looking thing with a gold spinner,, the rest on shinners.

the famous gray ghost is a hand tied jig. i have bought some on the internet, but they were too light for my liking and the hook was TINY. so i got skiptomylu to make me some. he is an active member on here and the texas page. he lives in hemphill texas. he made me up some that are a tad heavier and have a larger sickle hook. i'm not sure if j_row uses skips or someone elses. this is what my gray ghosts look like.

Great job J_ROW. I'm glad you got everything fixed. Congratulations on a great catch. It looks like it will be Monday before I get back over that way. Leave me a few between now and then.
