Welcome back--good time of year to get back into crappie fishing. Hockey86 is the expert on Harris, so you may want to get up with him.

Thanks for the compliment JordanLimit. Expert is really stretching it. This has been a really good year on Harris and I can't wait till winter time when they start to get really fat.
I attempt to post some sort of helpful information when I post a fishing report. I've mainly been hitting crappie in water 15-20' on points around the lake. I usually drop it to the bottom and reel up a few feet then sloooooooooow troll. Although we've received a good bit of cold rain over the last week I haven't noticed that the fish have moved at all. Over the last 3 weeks I've caught them in the same areas at the same depths. While looking for crappie keep an eye out for white perch. If you're using an ultralite pole it will be a blast to get into them. Your son will like it because they hit hard, fight hard and there's a bunch of them. Keep all you catch because there's a ton in that lake and they taste good too. The last couple of times I've been there they actually start busting the water around sunset.
If you want even more fun put some lights in the water and fish at night.
Enjoy and maybe I'll see you there. I have nearly the same boat as the Jordanlimit/Hunter fishing team, a black deep vee Tracker. I've seen a couple of other Trackers like ours on the lake but they are usually there only during the summer.

Welcome from Fayetteville. I fish S/H most of the time and have good luck there. Two draw backs....The wind either blows up or down the lake and the "snot grass" stinks. I really enjoy the perch too.
