Cool Mark! I wonder if running it through some water after using it a bit would help it from getting gunked up. I do that with my electric knife sometimes.

CAUGHT A dozen fish at cypress this morning and was excited to try out my new skinzit. worked great. really sucks them rib bones out. only complaint was that it got all gunked up several times. had to clean it halfway through cleaning the fish.
i had brody take a few videos. sorry for the bad camera angle.

I assume that you have to filet the fish with an electric knife before you use the Skinzit?

Seems like an extra step. Why take off the filet when you can do it complete in seconds?

I guess to each his own, but in my humble opinion, this thing might be like the old saying, "Too much candy for a nickel." I just can't see an advantage over the way I am cleaning my fish now, especially since I have to have an electric knife anyway. Maybe I'll have a different view after seeing it in action at the gathering. If not, and I win one of them, I'm up for a trade. LOL.

I don't keep enough fish to use one...sometimes my filet knife is not cost effective...![]()
Guys, lets all remember what Doc, and the other members, go through to get us VERY NICE prizes every year. If you don't like the prizes than don't pick one but the old saying "If you can't say something nice, then don't say anything at all" comes to mind. I am not trying to be ugly to anyone and I am not aiming this statement at anyone. Let us all be appreciative of what Doc and the other members go through for this once a year event.
