    Default Grass shrimp

Raining this morning so I was playing a little . Very crude and simple but it was fun trying to make a lead head jig look like a shrimp!

It is fun to set at the vise and fool around with tyes like this one I agree it will catch you some fish, it is different enough that fish will have to try it.

Think they looks awesome, just like the grass shrimp that I use to see a lot as a kid. we always tried anything to catch all kinds of bait including grass shrimp! Should catch fish with that!

The head was a 1/32 with a #8 hook, I cut the collar off the jig with finger nail clippers make the head about a 1/50th, set the jig in my Nor vise and wrap the shank. I used some silver Krystal flash for the antenna. tie them in then use anything that looks natural and dub the shank, then do a couple of 1/2 hitches to hold your thread in place. Then you need to decide if you want the pinchers towards the front of the jig or the back. after that decision you set a mallard flank with the tip or the end of the feather towards the way you want the pinchers? capture the flank at the opposite end of the pinchers then carefully wrap the flank towards the pinchers oh the feather set needs to be a little longer than the jig to give you extra material to form the pinchers. wrap the flank towards the pinchers and at the head or tail make a few finish wraps, then separate the flank half to the right half to the left. then I use clear goo on the flank and hit it with the light to set the pinchers...you could use super glue should work. that's it like I said its crude but looks similar to pictures of a grass shrimp?
