thank for the report the jig is a popsicle.---------- the water temp will go down

I fished Lake Oconee from 7:30-12:30 Tuesday and caught about 15-20 fish keeping 10. The water temperature was 80 degrees when I started and 81 when I finished. I was pushing tube jigs on a 1/32 black jig head tipped with a minnow. The wind made detecting the bite difficult and I missed quite a few fish.
Yesterday Kowboy and I began fishing around 8:00 a.m. and fished until 4:30. We pushed jigs tipped with minnows and the fish seemed to like anything with a minnow attached. The water was choppy due to a lot of boats and some wind and every time we checked our rods about half of them would be minnowless (new word). We probably caught 40-50 fish and kept 18 with the biggest being a 13 inch fish caught by Kowboy. The afternoon bite was the best and it rained steady all afternoon. There was less wind and boat traffic during the afternoon. The water temperature was 77 degrees.
While fishing Tuesday one of my rods got snagged in the timber. I got it loose and pulled up the jig in the picture. It is a hot pink 3/32 jig on a litewire hook and was attached to what appeared to be Crappie Max line. Jody I will put it on your dock next time I go by your place.![]()

That looks like Jody's. About every other time he orders hooks, he wants another 100 jigs. They catch good.
