Ken I'm thinking about just leaving my boat at home and hitching a ride with you,,Wilbur is gonna pay you to teach me all your secrets..now your already getting the deer salami so what's the remaining balance?
It was a pretty fun day today. We fished south on the lake today and found depths of 6-12ft to be the best for us. I used a jig almost all day and caught the bigger fish on it compared to the minnows the clients were using, but they caught more fish with the minnows. I have no shame though that thump felt great! I worked stumps, laydowns and brush piles in the depth range and you can expect to catch about 5-10 from a spot before needing to move on. Water temps were 73 this morning and I went back out to scout a different area of the lake this afternoon and found temps around 77. Lakes starting to turn over in areas.
I'm four hours away but I'll be down trying to get it done tomorrow morning and Saturday. I'll give an update each day.
Birdman, Are you talking about the west bank with the big field of standing timber across from the beach at wilborn?
