Great turnout. Watts Bar should be better conditions and cooler temps.

I really enjoyed our first tournament with the ETCC. Great job by all. Congratulations to the winners. Chris, you and Tim would have won it if that big fish hadn't died. Grin.

I had the pleasure of fishing with Mr. Garrett Smith during the tournament. We spider rigged crankbaits using bottom bouncing rigs bouncing them off of stumps on creek ledges in 15-20' of water to catch our fish. Our speed was slow at .8 mph. Garrett never lost a fish the entire day and netted every fish with precision. I lost three with one being a very heavy fish. We fished three specific stumpy areas with our number one go to area never producing a fish. The best part of the day was the last 30 minutes when a wakeboard boat filled with teenage girls kept running by us keeping the water choppy. I was ready to strangle them. Garret's comment, "no matter where I go or what I do the women seem to find me. I guess I will have to learn to wakeboard." I couldn't help but laugh all the way back to the ramp. Looking forward to the watts bar tournament. Hope everyone can make it.
