Thread: Got skunked at Rend 9.17.15

Went to Rend this past Thursday morning to try and catch some fish.

Launched at South Marcum and managed to boat one lonely bluegill back in that cove. My buddy had one channel cat that bit on a red wiggler but it broke his line at the boat... It was a small cat, maybe 2 lbs.

Spent the rest of the morning into the afternoon trying to find a pattern that would work. We worked our way north to the 37 bridge.. had a few weak bites, but couldn't connect.

Saw lots of schooling shad in the shallow coves, with fish busting them.. Fished in, around, and away from the schools with no luck.

I guess the fishing gods weren't with us that day.

Anyone having better luck on Rend?

It has been slower be we have been getting a nice mess almost every day.
