My brother inlaw and his friend caught a lot of fish Wednesday. They said the same thing for up here. Just if we had ramps open! LOL Thanks for the report!

....that the crappie have started pulling off the brush some and are headed onto the flats again getting ready to bust some shad. I didnt take any pics as I wasnt really on a full fledged fishing trip today but I did spend a couple hours close to home dragging jigs around on a 15'-20' flat and seen balls of shad with fish under 'em. Water temps were 76*-78* between 10AM-12NOON. I caught 25 fish and coulda kept 15 or more over 10" but only wanted a few for me, the wife, Dad, and his wife. Now I cant wait to get back out at daylight and give 'em a real good try. The fish I cleaned had shad in 'em so I'd say the fall feed has started already. Tightlining brush is a great way to fill coolers but IMO longlining will work pretty good now too. Time to hunt 'em up and start filling livewells.![]()

Thanks Ronnie but today I worked and will the next couple days. I'm spending my free time on a deer stand or in the woods but the food plots are drying up FAST and the deer are scarce right now. I hope over the next few days this changes but we'll see. Right now I'm hoping for another weather change. It's nice after spending so much time in the woods getting to hit the local lake and catching a few though. Makes me miss going fishing at daylight.![]()
