Wasn't really planning on going today, got skunked and soaked on Barkley on Friday and was going to give them a break. But I woke up early didn't have anything else to do so I decided to try an area on Kentucky where I have a full range of spots at this lake level to try and shake off Friday. Weren't jumping in the boat and had to go thru a whole jar of nibbles to get by the short fish and short strikers but did manage a decent mess. Gave up with 18 and lost 5 or 6 more nice fish. Been a long time since I have lost that many fish, silly things ran straight up as soon as they hit It most of the day. Mixed bag as far as aggression, some ripped it but far more light bites and misses. All except 2 came from 20-22fow. Beautiful day on the lake and should start to get better soon.

Nice report. Looks like some nice fish
Nice report Austin. I fished Sunday and only had some small fish with a ton of very small ones. Can't seem to put a pattern together for some reason. You keepin the stink off the new digs? By the way when I dropped those jigs off I forgot to tell you that is one heck of a house and man cave garage. You doin good boy!!!!

Thanks Buddy, we have been blessed. All those fish came off your jigs.
As far as the pattern or patterns go, most of the keepers seem reluctant to move back to the mid depths right now despite there being a bunch of bait well back into the bays. Some did move up a little after the first cold snap, but for the most part I think they are riding out the draw down in deeper water. The cold nights this weekend didn't do much for the water temp and still like another foot before we get to winter pool, don't see it changing much in the next week or so. Atleast for the areas I have been frequenting, I am sure a fellow can catch some in the mid depths on the major west side creeks, they are a whole different animal.

Nice batch of fish Pab.
That's a respectable catch ol'buddy!
Right as the cold front moved in last week and a few days after, I found fish on main lake points on the LBL side. I was casting curly tails up into about 8' to 10' and slow retrieving. It was a mixture of Blacks and whites. I was getting bit at around the 10 range. Seemed like I had my best luck on points that had some BIG rocks. As the days progressed and got warmer the bite lessened and what I began catching was mostly Blacks. I moved on back in the bays a little and found a few fish in the same depth range. TONS of bait fish in the bays! Not sure some of the balls I'm seeing aren't juvenile Asian Carp.
The bite right prior to the cold front was good! They were thumping it! As the days warmed the bite got lighter and lighter.
If its not bad sunday I'm gonna hit my honey hole again.
Glad to hear a report from you Terry. Anyone catching fish right now are earning everyone of them. Had 7 on Ky.(morning) and 13 on Barkley late yesterday. Fished 4 hours this morning and nothing but short fish. Go figure. Been catching some 5" fish and the beds are lit up with small fish. Hope that is a good thing!!
