Go to St. Louis Cemetery #1 in NO and look for the ghost of Voodoo Queen Marie Laveau. Ask her for some good mojo. Let me know if it works!

I am not catching crappie! June 29th was the last time I brought any fish home from the lake, but I have been fishing 27 times since then, only catching one or two per trip. Most trips were to Ivan Lake and a few were to Black Bayou in Benton. I have tried every artificial bait, depth, structure, and technique I can think of. My conclusion is that I have Bad Ju Ju !
In researching cures for Bad Ju Ju I ran across a recipe used by the witches in Macbeth. It calls for such things as eye of newt, toe of frog, wool of bat, and fillet of a finney snake. Have any of you used this recipe and will it help?![]()

Keep fishing my friend. I feel like Ivan is a cool weather lake for some reason. Cooler weather is on the way. You know how they bit last fall, winter. I hope they turn on again this fall. Went a couple times spring and summer with no luck as well.

I believe you're right. As often as I go there I should know as soon as they turn on.

Keep fishing. All your water time will pay off. Its not up to us as to "when" it pays off.

RM George, I feel your pain. I have been in the same rut this summer, a fish here and a fish there, but I still love to go. It is like therapy for me. I get out of the office and the hospital visits and get out into God's creation and spend a few hours; just me and Him and maybe a fish or two. I really can't think of a better way to spend my free time even without catching a thing. I probably catch 90% of my fish when everyone is deer hunting anyway. I hope your luck changes though. Maybe we will all fill up our ice chest at the D'Arbonne Gathering.
The Lord is good. His mercy and love endures forever.RMGeorge LIKED above post
