    Default big red drum

I drum fished with a buddy on the lower Neuse last week. We caught 3 on Thurs eve and 10 on Fri. The fish ranged from 43-48 inches with most being 46-48 inches. We were using baits the size of most the white perch I catch. Name: drum9.11.15.jpg

Saw your post on the other NC chat board but didn't realize it was the one and same todobien. I know who to talk with now to get some good advice for the coast. Nice catch.

I mostly fish the Morehead/Beaufort area and some in the sounds/lower rivers so if it is in that area ask away. The time is right for these big boys and girls.

Nice. Im at oak island right now and we are putting a hurting on some drum. Caught 9 from 38-46 inches in 3hrs give or take. Its easy and fast fishing when nothing else is cooperating.

Caught some croaker, sea mullet, and hogfish while fishing for bait. Bluefish were curiously absent as were Spanish.

We caught one last Thurs night on bait. Tried again Fri morning but it was rough as a cob so we gave up midmorning and rode to Beaufort Inlet and cast for Spanish.

Hey Hockey - which part of the coast do you fish?
