It was good to meet you to engineman. We had a good night. Missed a handful probably threw 8 fish back all less than 10 inches.

David we also had a good time even with the big fish not wanting to bite. It is always fun to get together and see other members and to meet members for the first time. I enjoy the talking and story time about as much as the fishing.
The bait in Hartwell is doing fine because we had bait come in hot and heavy! I'm surprised any fish could find our offerings through the bait. We caught a lot of small cats in the 8 to 12'' range and and maybe 10 small crappie. It was fun until that winter time air moved in on us. Sure wish I had checked the weather to see what the night temps were going to be, had no idea it would drop into the low 60's !!! LOL our knees had gone to shaking you could say we wasn't dressed for it.

Few pics from the night. Slabdoc and his partner set up close to us but I couldn't get a good picture to take, this is the best one. My friend Zac was manning the front of the boat and a couple of pics of the size cats and crappie that we were catching.

I am glad I didn't talk my wife into going. I know I would have froze with the blood thinner. Sound like a good night for sure was had. Glad you guys had fun and caught some fish. I will hopefully make the next trip. I'm not going to have the other knee operated on until next year. Glad all of you made it and had a safe night out on the water. Thanks for the reports.

LOL I know the blood thinners can and will make you rethink cold nights. I'm starting to think I don't have any blood in my vanes just pills running through. We didn't have a weigh in because only one boat stayed after 11:30, the rest of us wimps had to call it early. This was my first nightstalk on the boat in a few years and maybe 3 years? I don't miss it much It is amazing that for years night fishing was all I would do. Now day fishing is my cup of tea but I do enjoy the night bite when it is good. I think the next nightstalk for me will be on Russell. I just like that lake for the big crappie that can be caught at night, and in the day

I take so many pills Carters pills has nothing on me! Just don't forget us on the NC/SC clash we will need all the help we can get. All are invited to part take in the whipping NC guys keep asking for. Hey, Newly may have to buy all of you doughnuts. Stump I am leaning more to days now myself. Night time is fun but the body just don't keep up the way it use to.
