    Default Lowrance help???

I have a 1yr old elite 7 at the bow and an old gen 1 8" at the console and am tired of having to mark every pile twice or sometimes have it on the front and not the back, Was looking at buying a touch 9 for the console and moving the 8 from my console to the tm. I asked a Lowrance guy at the last tackle show if it were possible and he said it wouldnt but Im not sure he really Knows what he was talking about or what I was asking? Seemed he didnt really want to be there or was bothered that he had to answere a question. Hoping someone can tell me this will work, as I am not buying two new units at the moment!!
Thanks for any input!!! and NO HUMMINGBIRD IS NOT AN OPTION LOL

Before I switched to Garmins I had an elite 7 up front and a Touch 9 on the console. All I had to do to share waypoints was run wire from one to the other via NMEA (and have both units on when I marked.) Not sure about the old Gen 1.

If you are going to use the Gen 1 and a new Gen 2 or 3, just network them together with a Ethernet cable and your units will work together.

You would have thought the Lowrance guy would have known such a simple answer. Maybe he needs to work at Wally World.

I'd look long and hard at Garman's. Ieen didn't go to Garman for no reason! You'll be glad you did!

I wasn't big on the gen 2 because of touch screen only. Gen 3 is touch and button controlled. More expensive though.
