    Default Late NW River report

I fished the river last Friday, Sept. 4. It was an easy day of crappie catching. Total count may well have been three figures, but I didn't bother to keep an accurate count. While I tried many different jig colors, Cajun cricket was the overall fish favorite. I caught equal numbers just casting the jig and also fishing it under a bobber. When fishing it under the bobber, it was best to cast it out, let it sit for about 10 seconds, then just twitch it slightly. To say they wanted it slow would be an understatement. I ended up bringing home 19, with nothing less than 11" long. The vast majority of the fish were between 10.5 and 12".

You as well, Dave. You will either see me in a tan 15' Alumacraft or a 15' Weldbilt, both with either a 9.9 or a 25 Yamaha. Good luck.

I run a silver Bass America with a 50 Mercury. I live a little south of Tulls Creek. About 20 min from Bob's.
