    Default Lake Darbone Scouting Mission

Well all i can say is I hope they turn on before the Gathering or I may need to bring some of these Fish from Cleco I been cleaning for us to have a mess . We fish Sunday Evening a few hours and didn't get a bite went back Monday morning and fish for about 3 hours and caught 1 fish. The lake was Beautiful and the state park was a great place to stay we loved it. We going back and going to try again some time in Late October Maybe we can get on a few fish then. Its challenging for me to fish a lake I don't know at all. Here is a picture of the one that we put in the boat

At least you were able to get more familiar with the lake. Too bad about the slow/no bite. Heck, that's the kind of luck I've been having on a lake I'm very familiar with.

I only go once a year during the gathering, when they should be stacked up in the channel....some years they're biting fantastic...others not as well. It's just like any other lake I guess. But it IS a beautiful lake, and I'd go a lot more often if it were so far from me. Other than the catching, glad you had a good experience there. Should be much better in November by the time of the gathering.

And I'm like George....I don't always catch on lakes that I am familiar with either. lol Still better than sitting at work most times.

This lake is still challenging to me at times also. I am lucky enough to fish there a lot, CATCHING is another story. Hopefully we will have some cold fronts before the gathering, and they want be so hard to find. Maybe your trip in Oct. will have a better impact on your freezer. If I can find some before your next trip, maybe we can shorten your scouting time down.
If you dont have time to do it right the first time, when are you going to find time time to fix it.

Well one is better than none. Thanks for the report and I believe it will get better once it gets colder.
