Tom I turned off the touch feature on my new lap top and also on my new all in one desk top.

I understand it is alright but everybody tells me if you go to it to be sure turn off all the sharing features. I am gonna leave mine alone as I like 8.1 just fine.

Just for you Cane, takes a minute to do How to disable the touch screen on your Windows 8.1 laptop | Windows Central

I had to get my wife a laptop for online college courses and it came with Win8 - she couldn't find anything. I downloaded a free program that can make the main screen look and act like the older versions of windows and she's all set now.

The biggest problem with all this new technology is that 99.8% of all banking is being run by Windows XP. Government offices are pretty dumb too - our HQ's is running higher versions of software than we are and expect us to send them data, DUH!!!!!!!! We're running Windows Enterprise right now, and IE8, and you wonder how they hack so easy!!!

The tech world needs to QUIT developing so fast so everyone can catch up AND understand it.

I have a MAC all in one desktop. I like it, but can't run my engineering cad programs on it. I don't wanna buy new cad stuff. Too old to change my ways.
