Default It must have been that C.C hat (fishing report)

I have to start this post stating that I am a hat person.....I have a lot of them my favorites being camo, and if they have a hunting of fishing theme all the better.....

The last couple of times my wife and I have gone fishing we have gotten skunked!....not even a nibble! I asked my cousin whose farm borders about 3/4 of the lake frontage on a 20ish acre lake if we could fish the lake, he said sure feel free to use my small aluminum boat down by the dock too. So, the bride and I get on the water about 10:00 today. Fishing in about 5-8 feet of water using hook, bobber sinker (my wifes preferred method) I tried jigs ad plastics but the fish gave me the cold shoulder with that approach, but loved worms!

We wanted enough for a meal so 15-20 gills would be enough. We had enough in about a hour and a half so we headed back to the dock, I told my wife to continue fishing off the dock while I put the gear in the truck. Her first cast....fish, second cast.....fish!....and so it went, I got the gear in the truck and joined her fishing from the dock. We must have caught and released another 20 gills.

We got in the truck and started driving up the farm lane, and I said as I tossed my hat up on the dash " I don't know what we did different, but we sure didn't get skunked today".......that's when I noticed on the truck dash, the hat I was wearing today was the one I got at the spring fish camp, the camouflage Crappie.Com one.

I'm a little superstitous......but I think I'm wearing that hat till it plum wears out!

Steve, I'm also a hat guy if you hadn't noticed. I'm waiting for Ed to put out a line of straw cowboy hats with a nice big country lookin' C.com logo on the front for me. LOL. Hats are the ticket!

I'm a hat guy myself (being bald and all). I used to keep them around. I had work hats, good hats, bad hats, everyday hats. Now I wear it until it needs an oil change or weights about 20lbs with sweat. Then it is time to go and on to a new one.
