If you move newborn kittens will the mother cat find them. Just found 3 in the boat under my wadded up cover and it is HOT. I want to move them to the basement but can't find the morher.

I here that. Wouldn't own a cat I don't think (were dog people)
But don't mind the odd outside cat hanging around but I'll make sure kittens are taken care of by momma--just the right thing to do. Found her up on my porch and fed her some tuna (needed some extea for good milk producing) and left all in place, checked them after dark and the kittens seems ok. This cats momma was a good momma. She had kittens in my basement a few years ago and she caught me when I found them and let me check them for health then she fed them. Hope this one does the same but I would like to get them out of the boat. I'll try and cstch her while she is with them and try to move tem then. All of the cats roaming sround are all the next door neighbors cats. Dern things breed like rabbits,
